The DarkNET Conglomeration is a peer-to-peer network using vpns and bgp routers. The network itself is slightly more centralized than other darknets to facilitate the use of DNS as well as to keep the latency down for a ‘faster’ darknet experience.

With the onslaught of lawsuits by various organizations, RIAA and MPAA, and ongoing legislature ensuring that anybody not following the status quo of only using the internets for reading email and surfing aol.com, a group of members from different security organizations decided to build this new darknet. The members themselves originated from BadFoo.NET, ReLinked.ORG, SmashTheStack.ORG, and SABS as well as a few others, thus labeling it a conglomeration of sorts.

With the use of current VPN technology and Open-Source/Open-Standards software and ideals a partial mesh network was put into place. The backbone of the network relies on well connected servers residing around the world. OpenVPN is the VPN software of choice for the DarkNET Conglomeration and Quagga for routing purposes. Bind9 is used for the root nameservers which are able to differentiate between DarkNET Conglomeration clients and ‘NormalNET’ clients.
